Let's be real, this rumor from The Daily Star probably has exactly zero truth to it, so for now let's say there's a slight chance we could be welcoming Queen Bey to the Avengers.

Apparently, Beyoncé moved from New York to LA earlier this year in order to reboot her acting career, and the MCU might be just the place for her to get her feet wet.  An unnamed executive at Disney was quoted as saying "we would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalogue of comic book characters."  The characters she's rumored to be in the running for are Boom-Boom, Blink, Tigra, or Hawkeye.

As hot of a Tigra Beyoncé would be, these are all pretty ridiculous options.  If she were to join the MCU, who would you want Beyoncé to play?  One of these ladies?  Someone else?

Amy Acker is regular name thrown around the Whedonverse. The actress has appeared in several Whedon projects including The Cabin in The Woods, Dollhouse, Angel and most recently, opposite SHIELD's own Clark Gregg in Much Ado About Nothing. Whedon fans rejoice, for Amy is set to join the cast of Marvel's Agnets of SHIELD for at least one episode as Agent Coulson's unrequited love, a cellist from Portland.

The character was briefly mentioned in The Avengers and was brought up when Coulson was strolling through Tahiti laden memories earlier this season. The cellist thinks he's dead, but he'll have to protect her from afar when a super-powered threat emerges.

When Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 went on sale this morning, it's fair to say the great many of us didn't anticipate the shocking Steve Rogers Hydra Agent twist.

TIME managed to sit down with Marvel Executive Editor Tom Brevoort to pick his brain about the decision. Considering the interview in full, we learn that this was a strategic move on the comic book writer Nick Spencer's part to 'restore youth and vigor' to Cap'n, post super soldier serum-breakdown. The massive reveal has been in the works for more than a year.

Kind of interesting to think about how this will impact the wider scope of the Marvel Universe, don't you think? The fact that someone named Captain America is literally revealed as having a perverse allegiance to an organization with these beliefs. A few of my favorite reactions from the internet to this news, to surface so far:

I'd encourage you to check out the interview from TIME with Marvel Exec. Editor in full over here!

Let's get a discussion rolling on any and all thoughts, complaints, predictions in light of the news encircling Cap'n 'Hydra' today.
