The one thing the game was clearly missing was Aether Foundation memberWicke, obliterating everyone with her thighs, riight? You never actually fight Wicke in Pokémon Sun and Moon, so this model's taken from her sprite form. The model is meshed into Peach's characters, so you have her moveset.

We're still a day away from Pokémon's special direct, but supposedly these are leaked logos from a brand new generation to be announced during that presentation.

The images come from supposed trademark filings, and look pretty legit, but before you get too excited, know they were first discovered by Nerd_Leaks, who are brand new to the info leaking game, so trust this info as you see fit.

The new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon revealed the evolved forms of the starter pokémon, and well, this is very accurate. What's the final form---ponytail and a scraggly beard?

This morning's Pokémon direct announced the arrival of a new set of Pokémon games coming to 3DS later this year. The games will be available in Japanese, English, Italian, Korean, Spanish, French, German, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

The presentation also announced that the recently re-released Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow for 3DS will utilize the Pokémon Bank, allowing players to transfer their Gen 1 Pokémon into Sun and Moon.

Edit: an earlier version of this post identified Sun and Moon as generation 7, which has not been confirmed by the Pokémon Company, but it will definitely feature "a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures" according to the official site.

Ah, what a grand day, indeed. We present, Solgaleo and Lunala, the two newest legendaries in the Pokémon universe. Solgaleo (as seen on left in picture above) will star in Pokémon Sun, and Lunala (right) in Pokémon Moon. Both look like they could deal out a massive whooping on lil Popplio. Here's the new trailer which features the legendaries, as well as new gameplay footage, and a look at the new Pokédex:

In Sun and Moon all players will get a Pokédex inhabited by the ghost-like Pokémon Rotom, who can possess/inhabit objects and machinery.

The Pokémon company said the following about the exciting new Rotom-Pokédex:

“It does much more than record Pokémon info—it sparkles with its own personality. The Rotom Pokédex shows your current location and your next destination, and it also gives you advice on where to go next, based on the conversations you have with others! It’s likely to be of great help to you in many parts of your adventure.”

Lastly, here's a detailed look at Aloha: the Hawaii-inspired region of Sun and Moon:
