A fourth Five Nights at Freddy's game titled "The Final Chapter" has been announced, and slated for release this Halloween.  I have my doubts that this'll truly be the final chapter, but I don't know for how many more games after that Freddy's body can hang on.  He's looking as loosely stitched together as this franchise.

Want to continue to be terrified by a horrifying animatronic bear.

Via Hollywood Reporter:

“We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” said Grahame-Smith.

"The story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to," said Cawthon.

The project is currently out to writers.

Adam Stone and Jay Ireland will exec produce. Jon Berg and Nik Mavinkurve are overseeing for Warners.

From the game description:

Thirty years after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closed it's doors, the events that took place there have become nothing more than a rumor and a childhood memory, but the owners of "Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction" are determined to revive the legend and make the experience as authentic as possible for patrons, going to great lengths to find anything that might have survived decades of neglect and ruin.

At first there were only empty shells, a hand, a hook, an old paper-plate doll, but then a remarkable discovery was made...

The attraction now has one animatronic.

A teaser appeared on the Five Nights at Freddy's Website, implying your favorite furry foe is coming back for more.  An auto-response to the developer's email confirmed that a third game is in production: "Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is in production! Please do not email me asking any questions about it; NO questions about FNaF3 will be read or answered!"

Indie horror game and harbinger of the return of my childhood nightmares, Five Nights at Freddy's, is finally live on Steam and only $5. In the game, you play as a security guard in a Chuck E Cheese-like establishment inhabited by terrifying bears:

From your small office you must watch the security cameras carefully. You have a very limited amount of electricity that you're allowed to use per night (corporate budget cuts, you know). That means when you run out of power for the night- no more security doors and no more lights! If something isn't right- namely if Freddybear or his friends aren't in their proper places, you must find them on the monitors and protect yourself if needed!
