About a week ago, Meszaros was found unresponsive in his apartment in Los Angeles. Meszaros stood at a famously (dubbed 'smallest man in the world') petite 2 feet 9 inches tall, and he was discovered performing in a traveling circus before making his debut on television as Alf the alien in a famous '80s sitcom.

He put on performances for some of the world's most widely recognized and hailed figures such as Michael Jackson (who went on to become a dear friend), Jimmy Carter, and Ronald Reagan.

In the 1980's the city of Hawthorne, California named their shortest street 'Michu Lane' in commemoration of the performer. Rest in peace Michu Meszaros, you'll be missed. And now, a nice compilation of some of Alf's greatest moments:

If you somehow think that Benedict Cumberbatch only serves the world as Kahn and Martin Freeman's only role is as a hobbit, you would do well to remember they work splendidly together in a little BBC show called Sherlock

We can forgive your forgetfulness; it's been close to two years since we've heard anything from the detecting duo.

Nevertheless, we knew that they would return for a Christmas special later this year. And we also knew they would be going back in time for a special Edwardian/Victorian adventure.

And now, thanks to the BBC we have the first photo showing what they will look like in their 1800s duds.
