Playstation Plus has been a huge success for Sony and it's about to get a lot more friendly for the gamers that take advantage of it.

Though the membership service includes regular deals on games and movies, the big draw has been the rotating selection of free titles that come with the $18 for three months or $50 every year subscription price.

Now, players who pay for that program will have a say in which games Sony will offer for free the following month.

The Official Playstation Blog announced the feature and offered a few new details

The game with the most votes will automatically be included in our future free game lineup for PlayStation Plus. If your pick didn't make the lineup, don't worry. In the first promotion, PlayStation Plus members can get the runner ups at a discount. We love to listen to our fans – and we're super excited to launch this promotion.

We'll have more details for you soon on when voting begins, what titles will be up for voting, and how you can cast your vote.

While we're on the subject, the Playstation Plus games for Playstation 4 are Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Limbo. Sound Shapes and Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones will be available for PS4, PS3 and the Playstation Vita. CastleStorm will be available for the PS3 and the Vita, while God of War Ascension will be available for PS3.

Oooh boy, you lucky Playstation Plus subscribers you. October looks like it's going to have some good games for your Playstation 4.

Incredibly punishing (and incredibly fun) platformer Super Meat Boy and the very charming puzzle game Broken Age will both be free to download for Playstation Plus subscribers Oct. 6.

The Playstation Blog has a few more details:

Super Meat Boy will challenge even the most devoted platforming players with teeth-grinding levels, insane obstacles, horrible traps, and smiling chunks of meat. Yum! Can you stand against the gory onslaught of near-impossible tasks in Super Meat Boy? You'll find out soon enough…

If that's a little too intense, why not point and click at things, instead? Broken Age is joining the PS Plus lineup, too! In it, guide two teenagers through strangely similar circumstances but on two different worlds. With a gorgeous soundtrack and award-winning cast, Broken Age is perfect for gamers that grew up with the adventure genre. Or people that just want to hear some jokes. Jokes are always good.

Although the post says to check the official Playstation page for the free Playstation 3 and Vita games for October, that site has not yet been updated with that information.

A Georgia judge sentenced Kayla Dixon to 40 years in prison after she pled guilty to shooting a man over his Playstation 4. WSB-TV in Atlanta reports that Dixon gave her confession to the crime as part of a plea deal.

The horrific incident occured when Dixon and her boyfriend attempted to steal the Playstation 4 after 28-year-old Daniel Zeitz posted a listing for the console on Craigslist. Zeitz resisted, and Dixon shot him.

“I would trade anything, almost anything, to bring Daniel back. But I know I can’t,” she said in a statement to press. “I know he had plans. I wish I could tell him I’m so, so sorry that this happened, but I can’t.”

Techradar claims to have a confidential source telling them Sony is going to announce a VR headset good enough to rival the Oculus Rift at GDC, which starts on March 17th. Some suggest the announcement is coming at GDC rather than E3 in order to steal the spotlight away from Titanfall. What do you think, could a virtual reality headset put the PS4 ahead of the Xbone? Let us know in the comments below.

Sony wants to give you some variety in your Playstation 4 controllers.

The company announced new color options for the Dual Shock 4 during its Tokyo Game Show keynote address.

Polygon has the details:

The controllers (above) will come in gold, silver and "steel black" beginning Nov. 6, with a clear plastic crystal following on Dec. 3. The launch dates are for Japan; Sony did not give any information for western availability, though the gold and silver controllers have been announced for Europe.

Additionally, the hard drive bay cover for the console itself will get nine color variants on Nov. 6., including gold, silver, red, yellow, purple, and pink. Again, no western launch plans were given there. The faceplates will run ¥2,500, which is about $20.

Finally, a wireless round headset will launch in Japan on Dec. 3, costing ¥12,000, or roughly $100.

Christopher Caldwell of West Palm Beach Florida dreamed big when he decided to try and steal a Playstation 4 by shoving it into his pants.

A local crime blog details the proceedings and even makes the story more compelling, because he didn't stop at just the console.

A loss prevention officer at a Walmart Supercenter on South U.S. 1 in Port St. Lucie told Port St. Lucie police July 7 he saw Caldwell in the bike department.

Caldwell, of West Palm Beach, is accused of sticking the PlayStation 4 in his pants.

"Christopher then began concealing the accessories into his pants as well," the affidavit states.

He left without paying and was stopped.

He started putting accessories down his pants as well?

How big were these pants??

Unfortunately, the documents do not tell us whether they were hammer pants:

Calvary pants:

Or harem pants:

It's all just left to our imagination.
