Bryan Singer took to Instagram this morning to give us the first look at the new Nightcrawler. Actor Kodi Smit-McPhee is taking on the role in the upcoming X-Men: Age of Apocalypse. The popular X-Men teleporter was last played by Alan Cumming in 2003's X2.

Smit-McPhee's younger version will join other teenaged X-Men as they take on iconic villain Apocalypse in the 1980's. Check out a clip of Nightcrawler's trademark 'BAMF'.

Empire Online confirmed through X-Men director Bryan Singer that flying fan-favorite, Angel will be appearing in next years X-Men: Apocalypse. He also confirmed that the winged mutant will be played by Ben Hardy.

Fans beware, Singer also let us know, "he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…" Based on that art, we think we might be lookin at Archangel, Apocalypse's right hand.

The cast for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse keeps getting bigger and bigger. Rounding out today's news is Ben Hardy, veterancast member of the long running British soap EastEnders getting the role of Warren Worthington III, more famously known as Angel.

Angel joining the cast comes as no shock to fans. He's a pretty integral part of of the Apocalypse storyline, and Bryan Singer released this concept art last week.

Though that does mean we'll have 4/5 of the original X-Men team.

Despite all the great news Fox has had about it's X-Men: Apocalypse casting in the past couple months, the franchise is taking a serious blow. Superstar, Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed she will be leaving the series after 2016's trilogy finale. Fox hit the jackpot, bringing her on as the shapeshifting Mystique for X-Men: First Class just before she hit super-stardom in The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook, but now the actress is moving on.

Apocalypse is the third installment in the young X-Men storyline. Lead by Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Hoult, it will act as a transitional piece as Fox ramps up the franchise to compete with Marvel's Avenger's universe. With a planned Deadpool, Gambit, and another Wolverine spin-off all in the works, Fox is hoping to make an X-Men extended universe that can hold it's own against the Marvel and DC behemoths.

Lawrence's exit is probably best for both parties, allowing the Oscar-winner to pursue different fare, while simultaneously allowing Fox to explore other characters in the X-Men catalogue. Let's just hope the X-Men franchise can survive without her strength in the box office.

Bryan Singer tweeted last night the new cast members in X-Men: Apocalypse. Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones), Tye Sheridan (Mud), and Alexandra Shipp (Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B), will join the James McAvoy led X-Men team in the 1980's as young versions of Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm.

Taking over for Famke Janssen, James Marsden, and Halle Berry, these three youngsters will join the team to take on the iconic villain Apocalypse. With Nicholas Hoult returning as Beast, this is the closest we'll ever get to the original line-up.

It's surprising anyone could break Channing's code; it's so complex.

Gambit's release date brings the total of 2016 Superhero Movies to 8. Channing Tatum will be competing with Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, Captain America: Civil War and Batman vs Superman (among others). Hopefully Gambit can win so we can see another one of his carefully crafted emails.
