27 Life Is Strange Memes for Fans Hella Ready for the TV Adaptation

Who is also finger-crossing for Amazon's Life Is Strange series to be wowzers?

I remember the day I grabbed the first episode of Life Is Strange back in 2015, knowing absolutely nothing about it besides people online saying "Holy smokes, PLaY iT!!1" like it was yesterday. I didn't watch any trailers or promotional materials, I had less than zero clue what I was getting myself into. So I sat down to play. There's a gigantic storm; I need to reach somewhere; the suspense is good… boom, it was all a dream. I'm a girl in class. Great, I'm in high school again. Walking through these similar halls, surrounded by teenagers again, was not what I expected. But I had a promise from the internet… which delivered so hard in that bathroom stall. Time rewind?! Now we're talking.

From that exact moment on until this very day, I'm hooked. Life Is Strange is one of my all-time favorite games, occupying a large part of my mind and heart at all times. And that's exactly why I'm afraid of it being adapted to television. The game-to-TV pipeline is usually trash, and adapting a choice-based game to a TV series sounds like it should be impossible. But the casting announcements just keep on piling up (with most interestingly Tatum Grace Hopkins and Maisie Stella cast as the iconic Max and Chloe), and we know filming in Vancouver is already taking place. But we won't see the results until 2027.

So until we get to grace our eyes with Life Is Strange on our TVs, we might as well enjoy the massive amount of hilarious content about it online. Because that's just what naturally happens when a media piece has such an active fandom. The memes seem to happen en masse on their own. I know that's what I'm doing, because the waiting time is unbearable. I wish I was Max, able to travel in time to when I can finally see the first episode and decide - is the TV adaptation totally "shaka brah" or "go fu** your selfie"?

  • If that's not the most accurate Life Is Strange meme in existence, I don't know what is. This game literally had me break down crying in a fetal position at the end of episode 4 (IYKYK), but I'd go and tell people they have to play it, knowing full well what I'm sending them into. Is this evil? I don't think so. Life Is Strange is great. It's not evil to recommend it… right?
