Did you know that legendary co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons Gary Gygax tested the first D&D prototype on his own children? According to Reddit, Gygax's son Ernie said the initial run-through "took place after school on a weekday, and it was two boys and one girl exploring a scorpion nest". Not only that, but Gygax had a lot of trouble finding a publisher interested in the first D&D prototype, so he resorted to self-publishing and assembling the components in his own basement. Now that's true passion and dedication to gaming.
