Take this all with a grain of salt; it's purely rumor, but if it's true we'll be able to dry our collective nerd tears and replace them with delighted, terrified screams as early as next year.

An anonymous industry insider is claiming that Microsoft is trying to buy Silent Hills now that Konami has shut the project down.  If true, the game would become an Xbox One exclusive, and the source claims it could be out as soon as March of next year.  The logic is that the Xbox One is in desperate need of exclusive games, and Microsoft wants to secure a big title in time for E3.  Konami has moved to mobile development, and thus has no need for a property like the Silent Hill series, which they are now in a position to sell for billions of dollars.  Supposedly the PT demo disappeared from the Sony store as a show of good faith in Konami's commitment to the deal.

Can the source be trusted?  This person apparently originally leaked information that the Xbox One would be sold without a Kinect attached during a time in which Microsoft claimed they would never seperate the two.  I wouldn't get your hopes up too high though, it's entirely possible that this is all completely untrue, and even if the intent is there, the deal may not go through.

All The Spider-Man Rumors The Internet Currently Hates

It's not news that people care passionately about Spider-Man. With the X-Men, the wall crawler is easily Marvel's most famous hero, so his inclusion in the successful MCU is a win by any standards. Unfortunately, when Tom Holland takes over, it'll be the third incarnation of Spidey since 2002, and people are getting a weary of the reboot glut.

In response to this dread, the internet has responded by releasing endless rumors, seemingly just to rustle nerd's jimmies. Here's the rundown.

2K Games has started promoting something called "Advent," which seems to be a game about a futuristic, gated community that features surveillance for your protection, genetic mutation, and something that is definitely amiss.  So, you know, BioShock.  There's a site up that promotes the Advent community, with such claims as "our citizens deserve to experience everything life has to offer—free from harm and sickness. We promise nothing less than a brighter future for all."  However, if you hover around the propaganda long enough, the site holds some additional secrets.

We'll probably have to wait until E3 to see what this is, but if you're a betting person, a new BioShock seems likely.

There is no official word on this, but rumors suggest Nintendo may be remaking seven N64 titles, including Super Mario 64, as "reumagined" Wii U titles. One source suggests that the reimagined Mario 64 would allow you to play cooperatively, with two players controlling both Mario and Luigi at the same time.

Techradar claims to have a confidential source telling them Sony is going to announce a VR headset good enough to rival the Oculus Rift at GDC, which starts on March 17th. Some suggest the announcement is coming at GDC rather than E3 in order to steal the spotlight away from Titanfall. What do you think, could a virtual reality headset put the PS4 ahead of the Xbone? Let us know in the comments below.

We're still a day away from Pokémon's special direct, but supposedly these are leaked logos from a brand new generation to be announced during that presentation.

The images come from supposed trademark filings, and look pretty legit, but before you get too excited, know they were first discovered by Nerd_Leaks, who are brand new to the info leaking game, so trust this info as you see fit.
