rumors

Ever since the film rights to Blade reverted back to Marvel Studios in 2013, the question grew, "Would they make Blade 4?" The Wesley Snipes trilogy cemented the potential for awesome superhero movies way back in 1998, just before the rise of X-Men and Spider-Man. Now with Wesley Snipes' return to acting, the environment seems prime to bring Blade to the ever-growing Avengers' Universe.

That very thing may be happening, but with some 'All-New All-Different" Marvel influence. We may be seeing a new 'Blade':

It's not news that people care passionately about Spider-Man. With the X-Men, the wall crawler is easily Marvel's most famous hero, so his inclusion in the successful MCU is a win by any standards. Unfortunately, when Tom Holland takes over, it'll be the third incarnation of Spidey since 2002, and people are getting a weary of the reboot glut.

In response to this dread, the internet has responded by releasing endless rumors, seemingly just to rustle nerd's jimmies. Here's the rundown.

A couple days ago, Latino Review released a rumor that Chris Pine would play classic Justice League hero, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and in addition DC was looking for someone to play John Stewart, another human hero with a Green Lantern power ring. Fast and the Furious alumnus, Tyrese Gibson almost immediately started campaigning on his Instagram.

And it looks like it worked, cause he just posted this:

As it stands now, Chris Pine and Tyrese Gibson will be joining Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg as DC's Justice League.

Remember that rumored Netflix Legend of Zelda show that Nintendo's president said was not real?  Well, the rumor is back again, this time at Amazon.  A fellow named Lulla at a website called Season Zero is claiming to have exclusive news that the Legend of Zelda show is filming a pilot for Amazon's 2016 new shows.  When asked for a source, Lulla responded with "I’m my own source. 'EXCLUSIVE' means what it means," so take this rumor with a healthy heap of salt.  I guess both Nintendo of America and Amazon are located in the same state, so, there's that?

Season Zero says the pilot is filming this summer in New York and Savannah, GA, so if you happen to live out in Savannah, keep an eye out for Hylians; they may not just be cosplayers!

Let's be real, this rumor from The Daily Star probably has exactly zero truth to it, so for now let's say there's a slight chance we could be welcoming Queen Bey to the Avengers.

Apparently, Beyoncé moved from New York to LA earlier this year in order to reboot her acting career, and the MCU might be just the place for her to get her feet wet.  An unnamed executive at Disney was quoted as saying "we would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalogue of comic book characters."  The characters she's rumored to be in the running for are Boom-Boom, Blink, Tigra, or Hawkeye.

As hot of a Tigra Beyoncé would be, these are all pretty ridiculous options.  If she were to join the MCU, who would you want Beyoncé to play?  One of these ladies?  Someone else?

Noooooooo!  If you believed the recent rumors of Silent Hills coming back to life as an Xbox One exclusive, you may want to go grab a bowl of ice cream and some tissues.  The dream is dead.  Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has stated that the rumor is completely untrue.  But hey, at least he's heard the rumor.  Maybe it'll get him thinking about making it happen? [Insert quiet sobbing here]
