Released in the new issue of Doctor Who magazine, this test script will never appear in the show, but is still enough to whet any Whovian's appetite. Moffat had to say,

So here, in an exclusive, as a big old tease, is one of the imaginary scenes I wrote. Couple of things. Nothing to glean about what's coming in the stories – this scene will never appear in the show itself. Also, you'll learn very little about Number 12 – naturally, this was written before the casting began. And anyway, the scenes we use for the auditions are designed more as obstacle courses than 'proper' scenes. Fairly generic Doctor stuff, for someone to spin into a new version of the Time Lord. So, with the proviso that there's nothing to learn here (won't stop you trying, I know) here is – sort of, kind of, not really – the first scene for Number 12.

Who are you imagining reading these lines?

After Harry Potter author and resident Twitter Goddess JK Rowling tweeted a message of love and admiration for Ireland's recent gay marriage vote outcome by proposing a marriage between Dumbledore and Gandalf, the Westboro Baptist Church (regarded as the resident cesspool of humanity) challenged her fantastic meme by saying they'd picket any such union:

Rowling shut them down deftly, but one twitter user suggested that may not have been the right thing to do:

JK rebutted by saying the WBC wasn't what was important, but rather her show of support for those who need it:

You go, JK Rowling!

Game of Thrones Ratings Took Fell Off the Wall Last Sunday

Game of thrones memes season 5 ratings went down after Sansa's terrible episode.

Uh oh. After May 17's controversial episode, Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken many said they would swear off Game of Thrones.

Many were deeply unhappy about the treatment of Sansa and the inclusion of sexual assault against her that did not exist in the book's treatment. A lot of people said this was the final straw and vowed to stop watching the show entirely.

Well last Sunday's ratings might have provided a peek behind the ratings curtain as TV on the Numbers is reporting a big drop-off in viewers compared to the previous week.

Game of Thrones only garnered 5.5 million viewers with a 2.5 share of the 18-59 demographic for Sunday's The Gift. Whereas, the vilified episode received 6.2 million viewers or a 3.1 share of the 18-49 demographic.

Before you grab your pitchforks or pat yourselves on the back, keep in mind that this step decline could just as easily have been the work of the Memorial Day weekend. Remember that sweet blissful three days you had off? Those were the days.
