Isn't it funny how History as a subject at school is presented as such a drab and uninteresting topic that you are never taught to stop and realize that History is the story of us people. And sure there are tons of boring people out there, but at the same time there are just as many, if not more, exciting ones. Innovators, explorers, dreamers, artists, all who had great adventures in the near and distant past, and all of which deserve to have their stories told.

For they are a significant part of the history that we all stand upon today, and their lessons and stories are just as relevant to our lives today, or even more so than the stories we were brought up on in school. So prepare to be amazed, prepare to have your perceived notions challenged, as you step into this list of History's most surprising facts.
