Later this year, a Klingon Warnog officially licensed beer (Dunkelweizen with Rye: 5.5% ABV, 19 IBU) will be available for purchase in the US through Federation of Beer:

Warnog's aroma is predominantly mild banana and clove produced by the German wheat yeast, supported by subtle sweet malt character from the use of Munich malt. The flavor draws heavily from the blending of the rye malt and traditional clove character, creating a very rich and unique flavor. The inclusion of wheat and caramel malts help to round out the mouthfeel of this beer, making this Dunkelweizen hearty enough to be called... a Klingon Warnog.

Get your officially licensed, probably not sanctioned drink on, Trekkies!

Now this is how you leave a job! David Waddell recently resigned from his position as a city councilman in Indian Trail, North Carolina after he had questions regarding the mishandling of some public record requests.

Waddell told the Charlotte Observer that his fellow board members didn't really know what to think of him, so he decided to pull this stunt and have the last laugh. Indian Trail's mayor, however, did not find it as amusing. Mayor Michael Alvarez called the letter childish and embarrassing. He obviously doesn't understand the ways of the Klingon.

The actor who played Klingon Leader and Diploma, Kang through three different Star Trek shows died last Wednesday. Michael Asnsara, a Syrian born actor who moved to the United States at age 2, started attending college in Los Angeles to become a doctor before finding his passion. He starred as Cochise in 'Broken Arrow' from 1956-1958, and was once married to 'I Dream of Jeannie" star Barbara Eden.

Ansara had an illustrious career as a character actor on the small and silver screens. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Beverly. Us Trekkies, will remember him always as Kang, the Klingon Captain who worked with Kirk to avoid violence in 'Day of the Dove'.
