1999 – Pokémon: The First Movie – Set of 59 (Nov 8 – Dec 31)

Comment: All toys were paired with a trading card, which were made exclusively for this promotion. There were also a set of six 23-karat gold plated cards (Charizard, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Pikachu, Poliwhirl, Togepi) which came in Poké Balls that were available to buy at the restaurant chain that year. The Poké Balls were later recalled due to safety concerns.
