Based on a series from DC Comic's Vertigo imprint, iZombie will follow the re-animated corpse of med student, Olivia Moore as she feeds on brains to retain her humanity and simultaneously gain psychic imprints to track down murderers. If there's one thing Seattle's known for, it's murder.

iZombie will be joining both Arrow and The Flash on The CW. Hopefully with that track record, it'll do better than Vertigo's last TV adaptation, Constantine. We'll find out on March 17.

The CW is becoming the de facto home for everything DC comics. In addition to Arrow and The Flash coming back in September, it appears the network is working on a third series, Hawkgirl starring Ciara Renee.

Hawkgirl appeared in the season finale of The Flash this year, and will also be starring in the upcoming crossover series, Legends of Tomorrow.

Marvel may be winning the war on the silver screen, but DC is continuing it's hold on the TV market. With grant Gustin's The Flash joining the newtwork this fall, is it too little/too late for Marvel's Agents of SHIELD and Netflix programming?

In a move likely to blow up faster than Ronnie and Dr. Stein (sorry), the CW is apparently working on a new spinoff series featuring fan-favorite characters from Arrow and The Flash.  According to Deadline, the new series will star Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Victor Garber as Dr. Stein, Brandon Routh as the Atom, and Caity Lotz, who played the first Black Canary.  Given her character's fate, it's unclear who Lotz will be portraying.  The show will also supposedly feature three major DC characters who have not yet appeared in a TV series and is expected to premeire as early as next midseason.
