Turns out he was speculating as a fan, because "you figure they would" what with all the money they made on the first one. Meanwhile, even Naughty Dog is referring to TLOU as "the first" The Last of Us, so prospects for the sequel happening are still good.

During an interview with Game News, Uncharted voice actor Nolan North said he didn't think fans want a movie based around the Indiana Jones-esque series.

North voices and does the motion capture work for the series' protagonist Nathan Drake.

Even if he's wrong, Sony's motion picture division might not be able to get the thing off the ground.

Sony announced a film adaptation of the property back in 2009 and have had a ton of trouble putting it together.

They still don't have a director for it, having courted David O. Russell, Neil Burger, Seth Gordon and more for the project.

And this past August, Sony pushed the release date back to 2017.

So, if you're right Mr. North (and you probably aren't), you won't be disappointed if the film never happens.

Bungie's gearing up for the biggest expansion to their enormous space shooter Destiny. The Taken King will release Sept. 15, but before that, they want to get people primed and ready.

This video should help.

The trailer is also somewhat notable because its the first time Bungie has showed footage of the ghost companion voiced by Nolan North, who took over for Peter Dinklage and what many think was a sub par performance.

At a Q&A session at MetroCon, voice actor Nolan North confirmed the existence of a second The Last of Us game. He also stated that his character won't be in it, which, without spoiling things, makes sense given that character's arc, and that it seems unlikely that The Last of Us 2 would be a direct sequel to the first game. The plot of The Last of Us wrapped up nicely, and it would take one hell of a new story (or some kind of prequel) to have bringing Joel and Ellie back make sense.

Meanwhile at Indy PopCon, Joel's voice actor, Troy Baker, claims ignorance on the topic. Someone asked what Baker thought a sequel would be about, and he prefaced his answer by saying "I know nothing. I don't know if we're gonna do another one or not" but that he trusts Naughty Dog to tell a worthwhile story. If you're wondering, Baker would like to see Joel's story during the 20 years between the prologue and the main game.

Troy Baker's comments certainly don't mean Nolan North is wrong; Baker might just be better at keeping a secret, or way less informed than North. Are you excited for another The Last of Us game?
