Cult-classic film riffing comedy show Mystery Science Theater has been off the air for fifteen years, but all that can change for the low, low price of at least two million dollars raised through Kickstarter.

The show's creator, Joel Hodgson, thinks it's finally time to bring back MST3K, but he needs your help to do it. With $2 million raised through Kickstarter, he'll be able to produce three new episodes of the series. Want a full season? That'll require $5 million:

The ultimate goal of this Kickstarter is not only to produce new episodes, but also to get a network or digital distributor (lookin' at you, Netflix) to notice how many people are still interested in the show.

Shut up and take my credits!

Canadian LARP weaponry company Calimacil is Kickstarting epic foam lightsabers that both light up beautifully and are safe to whap your friends with! In addition to lighting up, their more advanced models utilize motion reactive sounds, so you won't even have to make your own noises.

The Kickstarter price for a basic light-up saber starts at $225 and heads upwards of $450 for one with sounds and multiple colors, but that's a pretty small price to pay for feeling like a real force user, right?

One of the game's original creators, Greg Johnson, is seeking funding on Kickstarter to bring back beloved funky 90s game Toejam and Earl.

The new game will be reminiscent of the first Toejam and Earl, with "fixed isometric camera, 2D sprites, simple controls, and an emphasis on coop play."  Development is currently focused only on PC, though the team hopes to expand that to more platforms in the future.

Texas artist Nick Derington has immortalized some very important moments from your youth.

The print series called “Boss Fight” shows Mario, Link and Samus as they prepare to do battle with Bowser, Ganon, and Mother Brain.

He sold out of the first editions of the prints back in January, and now he’s offering them again through a Kickstarter project.

A description of the project from his page:

This project consists of three illustrations that recreate the nervous excitement that meant reaching a game’s hard earned final moments. A testament to the hours spent building skills, solving puzzles and defeating all the minions that stood in your way towards the game’s final confrontation.

Derington has done work for DC Comics, Marvel and Mondo, and he was lead animator for “Scanner, Darkly.”

He reached his fundraising goal after only an hour, and is now also offering a bonus print called “Mario’s Regret” to anyone who has funded at any level if he reaches $18k.
