Normally, we're used to seeing the Magic Mike side of Channing Tatum, and no one's complaining.

But it's easy to forget that he's also a good guy. While promoting his passion project at Comic-Con, a solo superhero flick about Gambit, the 21 Jump Street star rushed to help veteran nerd hero, Stan Lee off the stage after taking an awesome selfie.

Way to go Channing, those Southern manners are going to come in handy when you start shooting Gambit.

The logo for the Gambit film has been revealed, and it features the title atop a playing card; perfect for the deck-slinging Remy LeBeau. Gambit, starring Channing Tatum, is due out October 7, 2016.

It's surprising anyone could break Channing's code; it's so complex.

Gambit's release date brings the total of 2016 Superhero Movies to 8. Channing Tatum will be competing with Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, Captain America: Civil War and Batman vs Superman (among others). Hopefully Gambit can win so we can see another one of his carefully crafted emails.

We've known for a while that Fox has been courting Channing Tatum to star as Gambit in their ever-growing X-Men franchise, and now it's confirmed. Producer Lauren Shuler Donner had this to say at Monday Night's Days of Future Past premiere:

And now, the Hollywood Reporter is reporting that audiences ill first see the Magic Mike star flinging explosive cards, in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse. Soon after, audiences will be treated to a Gambit stand-alone film which is still in the very early stages of development.

Personally I feel that seeing the iconic 90's X-Man rubbing elbows with young Magneto and Professor X will be a little weird, but he's the type of character that will play both sides in the mutant debate. Where do you think Gambit will fit in?
