They finished their Pokédex yesterday, and today Twitch Plays Pokémon took on the professor!  With a team of Slowbro, Venemoth, Cloyster, Dragonite, Zapdos, and Victreebel, TPP defeated Professor Oak and his Tauros, Exeggutor, Arcanine, Blastoise, Gyrados, and Pikachu.

Against all odds, Twitch Plays Pokémon has actually managed to catch Mewtwo, completing their Pokédex and finishing their modified version of Pokémon Red. In order to beat the game, they had to complete more difficult battles and catch all 151 Pokémon (the modification made it possible to encounter all 151, removing the necessity of trading). It took nearly 39 days in total, which is significantly longer than every other TPP game has lasted:

So yes, another reference of TPP. More explaining. So during the run Red caught a Kakuna, which quickly became 'loved' because of how utterly useless it was (it only knew harden and we never let it evolve). Later on, Kakuna was deposited, which would cause an outrage among some of the chat, constanly wanting to free Kakuna. When we finally got to a point were we could free Kakuna, we instead released out Lv. 50 Charizard, a Magikarp, and Kakuna itself.

So for those of you that don't get it, this is a reference to TPP's second run of Red. In the run Red would constantly try to use the Town Map in battle, to the point that the chat said that during a battle we must always consult the town map, and so it was done.
